Kaspersky Academy held its annual summit in brand new format
On November, 19 Kaspersky Academy together with Kaspersky security awareness team has held the international Kaspersky Academy Security Awareness Summit.
This summit is the successor of Kaspersky Academy Partners Summit and was held online for the first time due to the nature of Covid-19 and related restrictions.
The conference included a visionary lecture by Runa Sandvik, security researcher entitled Where does freedom end and digital totalitarianism begin?
Then the online event continued with the Debates on our 2020 cases of dilemma between external control and internal consciousness. The marvellous speakers of this debates session were Perry Carpenter Chief Evangelist and Strategy Officer for KnowBe4 Ms. Ratnaboli Ghorai Dinda, Deputy Director General at National Informatics Centre, India and Corrado Giustozzi, Senior Cybersecurity Expert at Agency for Digital Italy.
The debates session was followed up by a round table moderated by Jinan Budge, who leads Forrester’s security and risk research in Asia Pacific. At this round table representatives of different security awareness vendors, such as KnowBe4, CybSafe, Living Security, Mimecast and Kaspersky discussed on awareness learning technics and outcomes, and what learning strategies work better in wich case.
After that, the conference was concluded with a series of three simultaneous workshops. The participants of the event were able to choose according to their interests:
- Gaming technics as awareness inspiring instrument with Nadezhda Ilina, Senior Product Manager, Security Awareness, Kaspersky
- Practical guide to personal security (privacy) by GReAT with Dan Demeter, Senior Security Researcher, GReAT, Kaspersky
- or Case studies on security awareness successful adaptations with Martin Smith, MBE, Owner and Chairman, SASIG and his guests from London Stock Exchange Group, Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank and Lloyds Banking Group.
