noCTF-2019 in Novosibirsk

With the support of the Kaspersky.Academy the first information security competition NoCTF-2019 was held in Novosibirsk in May 2019. Hosted by HSTU, noCTF-2019 was conducted in the Attack/Defense format and addressed real cybersecurity challenges.

The event gathered together more than 50 participants from Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul and other Russian cities. During the event, students got a chance to listen to a series of information security reports from the industry partners and solve a lot of cybersecurity tasks. Participants had to search for vulnerabilities in the services provided, exploit them and submit flags.

After hours of a long creative struggle, the organizers announced the winners of NoCTF-2019:

• 1st place — NSU team (Novosibirsk)
• 2nd place — SharNear (Altai State Technical University) and HawkSquad (OmGTU)
• 3rd place — TUSUR KEVA
