Secur'IT Cup 2019 - Moscow round
On Tuesday, 15th of October, we announced the winners of Moscow student conference held in Secur’IT Cup 2019 framework. The student pitch competition was fore-run by A mysterious framework lecture by Alexey Shulmin, Lead Malware Analyst, Targeted Attacks Research group, Kaspersky.
The winner,PLEXeT team from Moscow and Mineralniye Vody, was awarded first place with a project on using machine learning techniques for malware structure detection and earned a grant of $1,500 to implement Proof of Concept (PoC) development for the next phase of their project. In addition, Ekaterina Labok, Kirill Smirnov and Oleg Bakhtadze-Karnaukhov from PLEXeT also received an invitation to travel to participate in the final round of Kaspersky’s Secur’IT Cup which will be held in Lisbon on December, 4th and 5th, 2019.
