Turkish students learn about cybersecurity from Kaspersky experts at Cyber Day at Kadir Has University

Students from Kadir Has University as well as from other Turkish universities have been given the chance to learn about the latest global developments in cybersecurity from leading industry experts. Kadir Has University has hosted Kaspersky’s Cyber Day, featured a combination of educational lecture, interactive session, talks and networking opportunities. This was followed by a Kaspersky interactive protection simulation (KIPS) training session, which involves a group-based scenario game that showcases the cyberthreats and their impacts based on how people react.

Over 100 students from different universities of Turkey were given a talk by Maher Yamout, Senior Security Researcher at Kaspersky, about current cyberthreat landscape, and precaution measures that are needed to stay safe. The first event of its kind in Turkey, the day was designed to complement the students’ knowledge in cybersecurity — with the chance to work directly with industry experts as part of their studies.
